Today

Madam Poga asked us all to prepare a journal which is to be sent on weekly basis. The best part is that we can write about anything at all! ANYTHING! I feel so free to write now.

PS: During her class, I have never seen her so light with us before. She's laughing along with us and joke with us which indeed is a very good sign!

Bad PSS: One student in my school is suspected of having the H1N1 virus. Good thing that he quarantined himself.

Louisa is getting sick too! Dear Lord, please heal her!!!

Havoc

Devastation, destruction; (now freq.) confusion, disorder

I woke up in the morning as my normal school days though I felt like not waking up and go to school especially on Saturdays (replacement for Hari Raya). The first stupid thing that tore my smile was...
My stupid fuckin' bus didn't pick me up again! Damn these drivers!!! Thank God while I was walking a few metres, a taxi just pop out of no where and I hopped in and wasted RM2.

I reached school pretty early. You should see how barren it is! Super duper empty, I'm telling you this. Actually the main reason I went there was to finish up my team notice board decoration but only Aruna and Francine came. Adeline is sick - sadly. Zura and Ramanan were absent. So the three of us were cutting papers and pasting them on coloured ones and cutting them out again... It really was a tiring process. Around 9am or so Puan Shahrul approached us and said:
"Um... I confirmed the dateline with the judges already and they said it is on this coming Friday."
"What?!" The three of us spoke in almost unison.
"We'd prepared so many things and now it's postponed?" I asked the teacher.
"It's OK. You actually have more time to do this, right? You need not to rush like how others will do. Alright, and um... please tell the other three groups too. Bye."

(That was the 2nd turmoil happened today)

Anyhow, we all continued doing it until 12.10pm. We packed our things and went home. Amir sent me home - so kind of him (and his mum of course).

After I changed and ate my homemade asam laksa (yummy!) I felt drowsy and slept in my room; air conditioned. It was so nice with my favourite songs playing in the background until...
I was disturbed repeatedly with people opening and closing my door. God, it's so IRRITATING!!!!!!! At first, Granny opened the door real loud and asked me, "Huat, for the dental appointment do you want the Indian dentist or the Chinese one?" I replied weakly - the Chinese one. Then another loud bang is heard. I continued sleeping and again being disturbed with her switching off my air conditioner. So, I finally decided not to sleep anymore and blog about today's crap. See how terrible this Saturday is?

Miss Fazlina...

Today's the day and... tomorrow she's gone. We'll never see her anymore in school... Even though the party was a little 'defected' as in um... abrupt- it had turned out GREAT! Gopi and Yu-Xuan: they both are really damn good actors - SALUTATIONS!!!!

The class members were an easy task - we all cooperated very well. When she entered everyone stood up (as planned). Then, she complained,
"Seorang pun tak tolong dia." (Silence)
"Apa pasal nih?" (Also another silence but we were all trying hard NOT to giggle)

My hand flung out: 1... 2... 3...
POP! POP! POP! POP! (18 times) then she started crying... (also as planned)
Aruna and Adeline was bring the cake out after I popped the last confetti.

She said that this was her best day in this school and the send-off was really unexpected. Cheers to us, fellow Ixorians!

PS: I will try to upload the pictures as soon as I could.

SURPRISE, MISS FAZLINA (behind the scene)

No pictures provided, sorry as this is the 'BTS' thingy. I am so dead nervous that someone might really faint tomorrow or anything bad that we can't celebrate her 'Bon Voyage'. Oh, OK.

Miss Fazlina is a trainee - Major is Maths and Minor is Chemistry. She's my Chemistry teacher. Though she isn't really good, we all really liked her: A LOT! She's a very sweet lady!!! Don't worry, tomorrow I will provide some pictures. Just wait and see.

Weather Forecast: I think that Miss Fazlina is definitely gonna cry tomorrow when we shocked her out with our touching party... Awww and THAT leaves me crying too (I am sure of this one!)

So, this is our plot...
During Chemistry, everyone goes to lab as normal. Yu-Xuan will report to her regarding Gopinath's (faux) muscle cramp and he has to go to class. This will indeed panic her out because it is HER duty to make sure everyone in her class is safe and sound.
While she's away, Adeline and Aruna will light up a candle on a cake (oops, I hope she bought it already) and I will arrange the Ixorians to sit very packed up (like solid particles). When she enters, everyone just stands up and look at her one kind, whatever questions she asks, we shut up!

Then she gets panic for the 2nd time and I will emerge from behind the teacher's table and signal my fellow confetti members and the whole class to cheer.
1... 2... 3...
Confettis are popped out, we all will cheer: SURPRISE teacher!!!!! Happy farewell!!!!!!!!!
(She cries) and a cake pops out from these 'particles' and we all will ask her to make a wish. Then that concludes the surprise party!

PS: Everything's gonna be fine!

Thanks to Kamales for introducing this eye-gazing therapy to our whole class and Ramanan planning the exactly same prank on Mr Wong if he enters our class (he was just joking but... still without him - I wouldn't come out with this cool idea!)

PSS: Everything's gonna be fine!

Donate an organ, save life

Well this is another essay (forced by my teacher) about the theme mentioned above and the title for my essay is 'Dear Mrs. Pattison'. I hope you enjoy this as how some of you did on the Opal story.

Dear Mrs. Pattison

120 Caistor Park Rd.

Stratford,

E15 3PR,

London.

25th December 2009.

Dear Mrs. Pattison,

You might be surprised that someone you barely know by the name of Vincent Foong had sent you flavoured eggs during the recent Easter. I did that all by myself just for you and your family. Well, the delivery man who sent you the food wasn’t me – I felt guilty to receive your son’s cornea.

I owe your son my sight, Mrs. Pattison. I am sorry for his departure last February. However, without him I am nothing. It was because of him – I gained my sight back; for real! This is my story…

Five years ago, I was an exchange student from Malaysia and stayed in my host parent’s house for a year. On 17th February 2004 while I was celebrating my first birthday away from home, my life was stirred up.

I was walking down Warwick Avenue back home that cold but pleasant night and then I noticed a big truck coming closer and closer towards a kitten. I tried to save it but before I could even budge, it rammed onto me. I was like a baseball being hit with full force – I knew it because I was flying for a moment before I hit the hard ground again.

I was alone after that with my body wet with sticky liquid. The damn truck left after it banged me. It felt like my bones had crushed into pieces. That was all I remembered. I was a nervous wreck when I found that I couldn’t see anymore, until finally I had to accept the fact that I was blind…

I checked every single thing in the Net after I had gained my sight and I discovered that I am able to see because of your son! Since then, I have been sending you gifts for celebrations with notes of THANK YOU’s and MAY GOD BLESS YOU’s. I know that donors are anonymous but I really hope that we could maintain a bond with each other because I feel that you are part of me as well.

I promise you, Mrs. Pattison. I will take care of my eyes as well as I could ever do. Because I want him to see the enormous change he had done to me. Once again, thank you so very much for everything. Before I forget, have a blessed Christmas.

With warmest love,

Vincent

PS: If you don’t mind I would like to drop by to your place sometime to express my gratitude personally.

Thanks for everything, all of you. Teacher, Francine, Aruna, Adeline, Mum, Uncle - everyone!
