"OK. Now, you have learnt everything. This is cloning of sheep where the male gamete nucleus is extracted by using a microneedle and is fused with foster mother sheep gamete with it's own nucleus extracted..." Ms. Nordiyana was explaining.
We both were like... "Ok... Now where ARE we?" Then our teacher said, "mito, mito."
During quiz time - it was even worse! (She prepared a slide about this) There were so many alien names that I barely know of. I was just staring at the screen blankly with all these words flying in my mind.
Homologous chromosomes, synapse, karyotypes, G1 phase, G2 phase, preparing for DNA division, DNA replication
WHAT THE HECK?!
When the slide was something about homologous chromosomes, Kamales asked, "Teacher, what is that?"
"This one, you will learn in meiosis later. HC is the arrangement of chromosomes according to pairs. One pair of HC is called as tetrad. This HC, a part of it's pair is called one sister chromatide..."
Francine then cracked a joke after that.
"Bio is ALL about female parts! Cleavage furrow, sister chromatide, daughter cells. Don't they have like brother chromatide and son cells?"
And I continued, "for cleavage furrow in the male version - it would sound weird with CROTCH furrow!"
-k-
PS: My Bio paper's mark is 81% and my History... sadly 70% only! =(
